I believe Tony at Pickguardian made the gold guard and painted the TRC for the former owner of my bass. I have the complete white set as well but I prefer the gold on this bass.

Just for the record (and you can search my posts on the subject), I've always said I like the look of Jetglo...

CJ will probably be assimilated to the "dark side" sooner than he thinks. Then we have to work on Tony in dead earnest.

I love how JG looks hanging on the wall, but for some reason I don't like action shots of it as much. I'm not sure why. Actually that is my reaction to nearly every black guitar. I think part of it is because so many bands are photographed/filmed in dim lighting, so I prefer colors that "pop" in that environment (like red or white).

Plus, my friend's JG 4003 really was a "fingerprintglo" and got finish scratches really easily. He was so protective of it but it was impossible to keep it pristine.

Not to rain on the parade... if you like/own JGs, power to you.

FG or any other colour get as much fingerprints and scratces, you just don't notice them as much.

It annoyed me at first, but now I recognise the little scratches as character - I would be able to find my JG among a 1000 other JGs based on just those scratches!
