One guy has a '97 4001v63 with a slim neck. Another guy has an '98 4001v63 with a fat neck. I love my Rics, but this neck thing really is a can worms when looking for one. So from what I have read (aside from flipped headstocks), v63's had necks all over the place, but c64's got the neck issue under control, and all are slim?

My April '98 4001V63 has a slim neck, virtually the same as that on my March '73 4001.

The whole slim neck thing is somewhat ridiculous in my opinion. Might as well make bass guitars with broom sticks for necks for some guys!

Would be too much radius on the fretboard for my taste. Otherwise this really is a great idea!

No, if they were all fat, then they would be under control
I like the thick, round back neck on my ’79, over the slimmer and flatter neck on my ’96 V63.
