Steve is great! I had a problem with mine, spoke to him on the phone and he took care of it - even mailed me a check to cover the shipping! New one works great (not that I get a chance to use it). He is also on this forum, so there is another way to get in touch with him!

Kira and Jim, we had some production issues with the machining on the enclosure (drilling, powder coating and screen printing), so we decided to switch companies and that caused delays. Unfortunately, gearing up production for the holiday season always bogs us down, so the Byrds 45th Tribute JB2 has essentially been on hold since October. It's now a top priority, but I can't provide a firm release date yet. Hopefully, it will be fairly soon.

Rich, we'll skip NAMM this year because we have to (1) build up inventory on the original JangleBox and JB2, and (2) focus on getting out the Byrds tribute pedal.

got my hands on the jb2 today and played my tele 12-str thru it as the first order of business. hard day's night and eight days a week never sounded so good at my hands! (high) expectations met !!

Steve? Can you tell us what the difference between the Byrds tribute pedal and the JB1 is, or is that a closely guarded trade secret for the moment?

There was a thread on another forum titled, "Show Us Your Pedalboard". All I could contribute to that thread was a pic of my JangleBox as it is my one and only pedal.

Someone posted photos of the prototype for the new Janglebox Byrds pedal on another thread here a few months ago. If I'm correct (and Steve can chime in if I'm not) the JB2 Byrds is like the regular JB2 but with a tone control for the Jangleboost channel. (On the standard JB2, only the attack and the volume level are adjustable when the Jangleboost is activated.) The new pedal also looks cooler: it's painted black with a very colorful logo. I hope this description has been helpful. I wish I could remember the title of that earlier thread so you could get a look at the new pedal!

I have heard a lot of good stuff on the JB's, but did anyone ever get the change to compare the JB to the JB2? And?

Jim, no secret at all. As Robert points out, The Byrds Tribute pedal is the same as the JB2 except it has separate tone controls for the "regular" and JangleBoost sides of the unit. Essentially, it's a two-stage compressor with individual controls for gain and EQ. The attack is shared between the two sides. Like the JB2, we think of it as a performance pedal for lead guitarists.

The graphics are black and silver, and we're strongly leaning toward adding cool "deluxe" knobs. At present, the plan is to make it a limited edition item, but we haven't yet settled on whether to limit production by time or number of units.
