In what way, as I don't see any difference in Kees' examples?
neck joins the body 1 fret further on the 2010 model.
Bridge position thus moved forward (to neck) too, it's now in the middle of the cat slash, if you'd draw a line through the bridge.
Could be the angle of the pictures too though.

There seems to be a slight variation, but even in 21 fret models the bridge is pretty much in the same place as it's now? Or might that just be the pictures I chose at random?

Now, I never noticed that before - but you're absolutely right! I love the wider ramp to the smaller one. Smaller ramp means more inside space?

What I always thought was quite weird is what I call the "square" area of the body - compare 330 top to side rounding of edge around neck to a 360's. Why is the 360's transition less rounded??? In pictures it's not that obvious, I think, but hang a 360 and a 330 next to eachother and see it for yourself.

+1. I mentioned this in a previous thread here. Dunno why the ramps are like this in the CNC era.

When did they change over to CNC? I thought that was before 2009 already? The new ramp's ugly.

There are online ads for 2009 and 2010 models with pictures showing something between the correct ramp and the new deformed one... looks almost like it gradually got smaller over a year or so!

CNC "era" began two decades ago, roughly...but it wasn't a complete changeover. Things are still being introduced, standardized and massaged.

Well, I think it's good they dare to change details of such a classic design.

Is it just me, or don't people really like it, though?

Rather than mess up the ramp width, they ough to give the body edges on both sides of the neck the same body to side rounding as on a 330 body edge. It looks too square on 360s imo in those spots.

I guess we must all be a bit obsessed with details?

Love to hear Rickenbacker chime in, pun intended 8) , & discuss the reasons for all the changes.
