Peter, as you original inquiry was about the ventilation on the Vox AC-30 ... as an afterthought on that whole subject of the reputation of Vox amps running hot .....
I thought I might mention that over on the Plexi Palace Vintage Amp Forums that I have read several threads where various Vox fans were mentioning about Mods such as adding one small fan or two small fans (one intake and one exhaust) in the never ending quest to keep Vox amps running cooler. Some interesting reading ....
