I wouldn't mind seeing a 4003s! It would make it more affordable (therefore more feasible) for me to get a second RIC bass!

Not a bad idea, but it unfortunately wouldn't help one get a Rick for less money.johnallg wrote:Buy a Laredo and parts. Make your own. Dane has already made a quasi-4003 from a 4004 series bass.

Now that they use the same necks... this definitely seems feasible.johnallg wrote:Buy a Laredo and parts. Make your own.
Why buy new? Used examples trade in the $1300-$1500 mark on ebay....sloop_john_b wrote:How much is a new Laredo roughly?

As a former temporary contract trade show customer service representative for RIC at NAMM`10 I can second/vouch for the affirmative on that.sloop_john_b wrote:Is that true? 4003 and 4004 necks are the same now??
As a trier-outer of a 4004 at NAMM I can also vouch for that.paologregorio wrote:As a former temporary contract trade show customer service representative for RIC at NAMM`10 I can second/vouch for the affirmative on that.sloop_john_b wrote:Is that true? 4003 and 4004 necks are the same now??
