jc-sz wrote:Anyways, just wanted to give you a heads up on an easy and quick trick to downsizing pics: make a copy of the file (so you don't alter the original's quality). Right click on file -> "open with" -> "Paint". Once it opens, save the file (no need to change anything) and that's it.
Thanks jc-sz! I think I got it to work. The pictures look a bit softer, but not too bad for reducing digital information.

I guess I need the degraded equivalent of an MP3 for pictures to upload. :? If I get a chance later on, I'll try messin' around with it.
John, I recommend getting the freeware called FastStone Photo Resizer. It's very easy to use, and one can set the maximum dimension of the image(s) to the required 1200 pixels easily. Plus it's very fast when it converts the images in batch mode. :)

Thank you very much doctorwho! That would be great instead of uploading these ridiculously huge files of photos of the kids to the grandparents. Much appreciated. :D

seller's remorse can be a BAD thing!! maybe think about it at least for a bit because I don't think the market will pay what you have it posted for...

You're Welcome! I know it's not the most effective way to keep the good quality on (hence my recomendation to not use the original images and just make copies) but it's fast and easy and can be done in any computer without the need to install any soft.

And I feel I must repeat myself... wonderful looking bass!! I'd love one of those!!!

Great looking bass Jon. When you posted this for auction is made me hesitate before pulling the trigger on Tony's walnut. So many great basses, so little money. IMHO, yours and the blue w/BTBH would be great stable mates. Perhaps great bookends for a '97 Mapleglo and an '81 Walnut. Perhaps
