I'll reply first, then read the thread later. I think there are 3 Ricks that everyone ought to have 1 of:
a 330, either 6 or 12 string
a 360, either a 12 or a 6 string, depending on which 330 one already has, and last
a 4003.

In that case, all I need is the 4003! That would actually top off my collection of guitars quite nicely.

Lemme guess.....you own a c58?

Not much actual "history" to them, as they are reissues no older than 5-6 years old, but I say they are an unlikely choice for a "must-have" for everyone because of the often limiting playability of the shortscale neck (which many have trouble with, especially those with big mitts).

My answer---probably just a 300-something hollowbody, if you need to fulfill the Ric-tone in your arsenal.
Any of them will do nicely!

Actually, I am under the impression that Lennon's original and replacement 325 have been well documented. Do you know of Andy Babiuk's book, "Beatles Gear"?

A 330 FG six string has been at the top of my list for a while, now. I don't really play enough bass to warrant a 4003, but it would be fun to own one though.

Probably NOT a 325. Have to say a semi-hollow, standard Ric is a must-have.

My guess would be the 325c58 because of its history.

The one I must have is always the one I am looking for.
