I look at it like it's the tech's fault when he busts the neck vs it's your fault when you break your neck.

Great work Joey! 8) Really helpful. It's one thing reading about how to do something, but it's a lot more helpful when you can actually see someone doing it, so you can see for example how much force you can apply to the rods and the neck. Save a few people having to learn the hard way

I just watched the vids.
Those are real good for people afraid to work on their Ricks.
Excellent stuff.

Nice work!!

Thanks for the kind words guys. But many thanks also go to Dan (Danotron) as well. he did a great job with the camera, especially once we realized that leaving it on the tripod wasn't going to get all the angles and shots. That beautiful 4001 FG belongs to Dan-o's wife!
The rest of that vid (string height adjustment, intonation and pickup height adjustment) may take a while to get ready. I flubbed a few words and even slipped in a bad word that I want to edit. I might have to ask for help from someone who is great at video editing or re-shoot the rest.

Excellent work Joey,

Kudos to Dan and that killer 4001 too!

I've only seen the first part so far, but will catch up on the other's tonight. GREAT STUFF!

I love stuff like this. My technical expertise allows me to install strings. I've always been way too paranoid to adjust a truss rod on my 4001. I've let my luthier do all my setups, costly as it could be.

Hey Joey, how about next, field dressing truss rods!

I'd NEVER, EVER try that myself!

I totally forgot about the SERF videos! I'll have to dig them up sometime this summer.

I think the JBN instructional videos came out real good. 8)
(Almost as good as being there ! )
Good camera work Dan-o and that is a beautiful bass, it has been taken care of, over the years.

The videos on Joey's website represent a lifetime of learning and passion for Rickenbacker instruments. It does not get any better than this.

Thanks Joey. :D

With the help of the some of the forumites that live in my area (Dan-o, Rich, Paulie & Gary). I will be doing vids for several types of maintenance issues on several models. I'm not going to restrict it to bass guitars either. Probably get some Rick 6 and 12 stringers in there as well. Just maintenance and maybe minor repairs. I'll leave the repairs and finishing/refinishing to Paul W.
