Many thanks all for the kind birthday wishes! As it is a super-long long weekend down under (the co-incidence of Easter and ANZAC Day means three public holidays around the weekend
) I have been off-line! Yesterday was fabulous
- had the whole family to myself, which is rare when your children are all teenagers (or just post-teen in my daughter's case). The fact that today is yet another holiday is the icing on the cake....
Jeff - your old Hofner V63 has been well used over the weekend - I was invited into the Easter band at my church and used it on Good Friday and the morning service on Easter Sunday. Sadly Griffin could not attend to see his bass in action - only seeing-eye dogs are allowed in and Griff doesn't pass muster, no matter how much I claim that he is really a minature German Shepherd. For the evening youth service (a bit more rock 'n' roll) I used Eden's old Green Machine 12er. My left forearm is still aching from the additional pressure I have to exert to fret that beast
, but the sound was well worth it
.
Today is music project day... hope to get some ideas recorded - might even use one of those Rickenbacker thingies....
