thanks Rod, I actually found a post about that on the Rickenbacker forum. i'll give it a try next string change before giving up on the ac'cent.

If you want to boost the signal of your bridge p/up, you can place a ceramic bar magnet on the underside of the p/up to boost its output; the tone should be the same, just louder. I've done this with the 12K bridge toasters on my 381s. :)

Good point! I didn't even think of that because I always bend the ball end of the strings before installing them on my Accent-equipped Ricks (every six string :) ).
