The first image is really useful for me - every time I take the plate off, a wire comes off, so now I know where they all belong! (and, yes, the earth popped off this time too)!

They are just internal factory numbers to keep track of parts, essentially. The numbers have nothing to do with serial numbers or anything special, really.

I've tried looking at it with the spectacles that I got from the cinema, but my Avatar's not jumped out of the screen at me yet!
