It could be a 59, however the guys at Gruhn had it dated Dec '57. I took it to them to have it checked out and strung w some 11s. It plays really great and sounds cool.

Those are really cool guitars! 8)

I have had the good fortune of having played a couple of F series instruments, and those also felt/sounded quite different.

I really like that JG--just a beautiful, classy guitar!
