You guys should just be happy the Jonas Brothers are inspiring anybody to pick up a REAL guitar (ie...one that has more than plastic buttons and plugs into the video game system). Start counting the little wins instead of the major losses, folks.
Besides, I'd like to scream that it's stamping all over the fine history of Gibson, but the CEO himself did that years ago...without the Jonas Bros.

You bet it is, and it always has been, even 50 years back.
Nothing sacred about this stuff, this is a business.

The Jonas Brothers are three brothers that had a sitcom/music show on the Disney Channel. To be fair, they're music is solid, modern pop-rock. It is music for teenagers, written and performed by teenagers. Just like the music we listened to when we were teenagers.
The guitar itself has gotten pretty good reviews.

The Jonas Brothers are an American boy band. The band gained its popularity from the Disney Channel children's television network. From the shore region of New Jersey, the band consists of three brothers: Paul Kevin Jonas II (Kevin Jonas), Joseph Adam Jonas (Joe Jonas), and Nicholas Jerry Jonas (Nick Jonas). In the summer of 2008, they starred in the Disney Channel Original Movies Camp Rock and its sequel, Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam. The band has released four albums: It's About Time, Jonas Brothers, A Little Bit Longer, and Lines, Vines and Trying Times. In 2008, the group was nominated for the Best New Artist award at the 51st Grammy Awards and won the award for Breakthrough Artist at the American Music Awards. As of May 2009, before the release of Lines, Vines and Trying Times, they have sold over eight million albums worldwide.

Maybe when you were a teenager you listened to music written and performed by teeagers. In Jr High and High School circa 78 - 84, I was rocking Zeppelin, Yes, Ted Nugent, Aerosmith, Montrose, BOC, Dixie Dregs, Rush, ect.

Some of us were teenagers listening to those same bands... when they were teenagers...
As for the Jonas Brothers, huh, that's the most I've ever heard of them beyond the name. Are they actually any good?

I am sure you can go to You Tube and see tons of clips of them performing. After that you can decide if you want to celebrate their entire discography.

Weren't all those people young when they started their professional careers? Jimmy Page already had a long career before Led Zeppelin. Rush started touring right out of High School. Steve Howe joined Yes when he was 23. That's about the same age as the older Jonas Brother, isn't it?
While you were rocking Aerosmith and the Nug, there were probably older dudes telling you that you should be listening Miles Davis, Buddy Holly or Les Paul. Why not just listen to the music that you enjoy and let the kids listen to what they like?
Time marches on. Let it go.

Teen music is all sweetness and bubble gum. Take this Aussie teen band from the '90s for instance:
