I'm with you on that- I'd love a short scale 4003s with vintage pickups too. A 4001C64 or 4001V63 in Fireglo or creme like a Chris Squire 4001, please!

Guitar... another '60s vintage 335 or 365 O.S., but in jetglo!

perhaps i could sell a few organs.

FYI: That would make the guitar a 371 WB: 330s do not have binding or triangle inlays. If the guitar is double bound and has inlays it's a 360/370/375. 330s and 360s used to always have the same body style until someone thought it was a good idea to design the corpulent-shaped 360 "New Style" body. Formerly, the 330 was a standard model that had dot inlays and no binding, while 360s were a deluxe model with binding on both sides, and triangle inlays, but both models shared the same body style.
Gosh...I'm working on something similar in a LS...

LS? It can't be xmas all year around, guys

I hope Paul at least got a colour idea now for that other project where he wasn't going to share pictures off until he finally decided upon a colour and actually applied it

In the thread where I was thinking up two slash holed 360s:

You then went on that you didn't know which colour to give it. And that's where the mist of time went over it...

Time gets misty. Now I know which one I was referring to!

Yes. This project has had its color decided, and wait'll you see it. But it is still in-process. Next week: paint.

I would like a 650 style bass. Can you do one up, Paul?

Short answer: Yep.

Long answer and feasibility: It needs to have at least 50% genuine Rickenbacker content. So, starting with a 650 body and/or a Rick bass neck, we could fabricate the balance and use a mix of 650 and Rick bass hardware and electronics.

I think it would work better with, say, a 30" scale.

Maybe use a 3000 neck?

There was a guy on Rickenbacker's forum, recently, saying he was going to convert his 650 into a bass. I don't know if he kept everyone updated, or not.
