I love old fender amps.

Very nice pickup, Jeff! Those brownfaced Concerts are some of the best sounding amps Fender ever made. I can't tell from the pics but is your amp brown or blonde?

Blondes are better than........

And it makes a most wonderful bass amp, especially for a '64 4001S.

The first thing I ever ran through the amp was a bass, at the store, in fact, I don't think I even plugged a guitar into it until I got the amp home. I was astounded at just how good it sounded with the G&L and Yamaha (fretless) 5 string basses I used at Heights Guitars when I checked the amp out there. Even down to the low B the speakers just had this great clear, deep tone.

Here is a better photo of just the front panel. The photo has mixed light (2800º K and daylight) so it is a bit tough to get the color accurate.
The white jewel light has since been replaced with a correct red one.

Looks good and sounds fantastic.

Excellent! I have an early '70s Princeton Reverb Amp, with the right speaker cabinet these sound great with a bass. Congrats on that snag, Chris! The bias modulated tremolo on them are real sweet sounding, too.
