I have seen Belew's Power Trio with the above mentioned Julie Slick.
Their music takes Prog. WAY out into the stratosphere!!!!!! You have to hear it for yourselves!!!!!
Julie is the new Chris Squire of the bass-guitar.....she is a vision of beauty, and a very cool person to talk with.

I was a big UK and Crimson fan back in the 80s. I know what you mean about Wetton's "plain old bass tone" nowadays. That old P Bass through a tube stack was IT! And I definitely need to check out this Julie person.
