I have seen Belew's Power Trio with the above mentioned Julie Slick.
Their music takes Prog. WAY out into the stratosphere!!!!!! You have to hear it for yourselves!!!!!
Julie is the new Chris Squire of the bass-guitar.....she is a vision of beauty, and a very cool person to talk with.

Yeah, I kind of figure between her, Adrien and Tony Levin I'll get my wig stretched good and proper at that one.

I would have loved to have seen that.
I was a big UK and Crimson fan back in the 80s. I know what you mean about Wetton's "plain old bass tone" nowadays. That old P Bass through a tube stack was IT! And I definitely need to check out this Julie person.

I have a new Fav band too now. Thank to this posting and I never even heard of em till I watched this vid John.
The Flower Kings!!!!! Are awesome!! I have all there albums now. I have also been digging the older ones i never heard of too Gentle Giant and Camel, Marrilion. Newer ones like Spocks Beard, Big Elf. Still the fav goes to The Flower Kings. I also got a few albums of Transatlantic downloaded too.
