The Bills come first. Better days are ahead & hopefully you can buy it back or another that you'll like just as much or maybe even more.
Good luck,

No, I really wanted too, some rich jerk was buying it as I was playing it for his girlfriend who knew nothing about the guitar. I didn't have enough money, but it was really nice, small world wouldn't you agree!TommySixGun wrote:Ivan
That's it! Did you buy it?

How much did guitar center buy it for?
900 for a mint 360 natural finish with gold hardware? Dude, you would have done better through another store!TommySixGun wrote:I hope it's ok to talk price here...they gave me $900...I figured they'd sell it for $1300. If it's still there, you should buy it. There's not a scratch on it and it's only been touched by an authorized Ric shop (The Music Zoo in NY). They were PIRATES at Guitar Center...when the guy was checking it out, he tried jamming some cheapo mono cord into the stereo jack...he actually tried one mono cord in each jack..finally I explained how the metal tab in the mono jack bridges the two pickups....it was tearing my heart out. I needed the money, so I had to sell it.
I'm having surgery on Friday...hopefully, I'll be back to normal in a few weeks. Maybe for Christmas, I'll be able to get a new Ric.

I really feel for your situation.TommySixGun wrote:If I wasn't in such a hurry, I would have done something different. We weren't explecting to get "goose eggs" in my paycheck the day before. The Mrs. was extremely upset, so it was the only thing I could think of at the moment. I called my local store, but times are tough. Trades are more the standard right now, not cash.
I got a guy coming to buy my Uni-Vibe today....ouch

I would have totally bought it for 900!TommySixGun wrote:I hope it's ok to talk price here...they gave me $900...I figured they'd sell it for $1300. If it's still there, you should buy it. Sorry to read that you've parted with your Ric. Recently, I've given thought of selling my one or two of my left-handed Rics to cover some rising medical expenses. So far, I've been able to cover the bills without selling them. But the again, who knows what the future may have in store.TommySixGun wrote:You guys may be the only people to know how I feel right now.
I've been on short term disability since July and I missed two paychecks in a row. My wife was giving me a hard time, so I had to sell my Rickenbacker...I'm totally bummed out.![]()
