So the white tip must have been a predominantly '70s trend. Like disco.
So Chris, your saying the white tip just has to go... just like Disco!

Awesome info! I always thought you guys slipped in a few back then, but there you go!

I still think they look cool, though...

Yes, I think they look pretty cool as well, and because the switch is shorter I'm less likely to knock it around with my undisciplined playing style :)

John - the white tip can stay! Just like my white suit with white, highly flared trousers

Pickup Switch Knob Color

Post by 8mileshigher »

Further to my post the other day mentioning the white Pickup selector switch on my '73 model 480 guitar, I saw another '76 model 480 listed on Craigs LIst in Long Beach today, and it also had a white slector knob, and the seller says it is all stock.

http://losangeles.craigslist.org/lgb/ms ... 20110.html

Coincidence ?

You can pick up a backup 480 after work then? ;)
There is no reason to ever be bored.

...why yes, I suppose I do have a double bound guitar fetish...

"Uh, I like the double bounds. . . ."
