I've only bought little things, like strings and accessories from Pick of the Ricks and North Coast, but if I were to recommend them in no particular order:
Pick of the Ricks
North Coast Music
The Rickenbacker Page (Mike Parks)
Wildwood Guitars
Wilcutt Guitars
Dave's Guitars
International Vintage Guitars (if they have any)
Again, I've never bought a new Ric from any of them, but based on the praises I've seen, these are the ones who get the top recommendations. Good luck in your hunt. Any of these dealers can help you out.
I've had my luck, however, buying used from here. My two Rics were both bought here in 2009...and still with me today.

My experience with Wildwood was very good, FWIW. Their sales staff was very helpful!

I buy most everything from POTR or Mike Parks and am satisfied with all aspects of their service.....however, I did purchase a new 660-12 from NCM around '04-05 and got a great deal and excellent service at that time.

You guys in the US are so lucky.
Without exception, all the official Ric dealers in the UK are awful.

Very sorry to hear that, Rob. You know, there is a glut of cheap homes available, here.

What makes you think I can only afford a cheap home?
Actually, I'm coming over to live with you Jeff, it's all been sorted.

Please note there have been a few edits in this thread. The RRF is not the place to address grievances or situations that may become grievances. When dealers are upset with comments that they feel are harsh or inaccurate, they typically have their dialog with admin. Something I wish to avoid of course. Please avoid critiques of dealers which should be directed to them.

Does Shari know this?

We'd best get the guest room ready, then!

Yes, she said that you'd be happy in there.

That's a real shame Peter.
I know a lot of prospective buyers check out this forum first before buying a guitar or gear.
I've found the info on this forum regarding peoples experiences with different sellers to be quite invaluable. Like discovering that a UK dealer is selling defective and sometimes second hand Rics as 'New', and one can only guess how many Jangleboxes have been sold on the back of positive reviews on these pages.
I would say that only the dealers who have something to hide would seek to censor disgruntled customers.
Such a shame.

Rob: Thanks for your comments. I believe I understand your position. Unfortunately there are liability issues that trump such public discussions here. Also, there have been very divisive and hurtful discussions on line in the past that have stemmed from such topics and I do not to have these problems here. Threats of law suits are also a shame.

No problem Peter.
I see it's a difficult balancing act that you have to do to keep everyone sweet.
You do a great job, it's the reason so many love this forum so much.
Cheers.
Rob.

Each of the recent Mid Atlantic Rick Fests have been held at his store at a substantial cost to him (and free to us). Chris goes out of his way to develop products to meet our needs (custom TI strings sets, an excellent stereo cord, etc.). His knowledge and customer service are superb. Always call Chris if you are looking for anything Rickenbacker, you won't be sorry.
To back up my statement above....
POTR has just announced a return of the
compressed wound strings.

I have purchased from both Gary (about 10) and Chris (about 3). I never had a problem with either of them. Both good to deal with. If Chris doesn't have the 325 you want I would get it from Gary.
