Thanks to all for the good wishes! We had a quiet dinner at my favorite SF seafood place, on Fisherman's Wharf. We were the only non-tourists there, I think. The waiter apologized for the fog, and said "you should have been here yesterday"...we were... 
I spent the last half of the evening finishing the resto on an AZ '75 481. My fondness for these oddballs continues. Played a bit along with the new Cooder CD, just to break it in a bit. It goes out to its owner in LA on Monday...
Beginning last evening and continuing through Sunday night, we are hosting 2 girls from the Australian Girls' Choir, who are on an American tour.
As we age, birthdays get less celebratory and more traumatic...

i got the drift after my first child...after my second i did a skip to the snip and now my jingle doesnt jangle....
