Great New area to the forum!
Here is a picture of Fruitbat, my Corgi:
What a handsome, noble beast you have there Ivan.
Griffin is very excited to see another Corgi on the forum, but he has an important question: does Fruitbat have a tail?
I have Fruitbat, Sailor, and Jane. Fruitbat is 8 years old, Sailor and Jane are 7. They are brothers and sisters, but fruitbat is a litter earlier than Sailor and Jane.
Also, they don't have tails (Pembroke). It would be cool to see Sailor with a tail because he is half fluffy.

Well, rats. I thought a forum about one of my all-time fave albums was a great idea.

Well, is is all the way down at the bottom of the list. You're right, pets basically have nothing to do with music. However for many people, pets have the same effects as music, which include happiness and stress relief. This sub forum was a surprise to me. But I like it.
It could also be the most peaceful section of the RRF.
I'm not trying to be a jerk about it. I do love pets, and I have always appreciated seeing pet threads, or pets popping up at random RRF moments. But I do think having it's own forum is a little weird, because it fragments the main forum even more. Many of us here have many passions along with Rickenbacker's. I love old movies, but I think a film discussion forum here would be bizarre. Paul W. does amazing car restoration, but we don't need a forum here for that... I'm quite sure that he goes to other forums to share that expertise.
It seems like so many sub-forums creates more work for our moderators. In a Rickenbacker forum, pets are off-topic, and that's where I would keep threads about them.

I think that all owners of both pets and Rickenbacker believe that their pets play their Rickenbackers when the owners are asleep or away from the house, so this thread is appropriate, IMO, for this Forum ...

The Beach Boys are going on tour in 2012! Well, that's something I got to go to!
I'm currently petless

Without Brian Wilson, they're nostalgia in a can with no spark of creativity...

He is in mid bark, I like the mid-bark shots because sometimes he looks so vicious.

Fruitbat reminds me of a vampire in that shot

How did you come up with that name, btw?

I use my dog Clifford as a handy meter. If his eyes are green and peaking in the yellow range, everything is good. If they turn red, then I know I have the gain up too high.

Oh, not if they peak yellow you're slightly out of tune, and when they go red you're completely off?

My little Maggie is the only real fan I have for my playing...so I get the connection.

Thomas: Thanks for the review. Pet Sounds can handle a 2 1/2 star rating for the moment. The rationale for including a topic area devoted to pets is based on the requests that have been made by RRF members. The good news for those who do not like pets is that they no longer have to be bothered by seeing such posts in the middle of other threads as Pets now have their own place. The good news for those who like pets is that they now have their own place.

Ivan, now you need a pet fruitbat that you can name Corgi!
I like this forum a lot also!
