My advice is ..........bass players who do not venture past their segment of the forum.......... get out there and make friends. That enhances the forum experience ten fold.
Well said, Brian !!!
The more forums that one reads and particiaptes in, the greater your enjoyment of the Rickenbacker experience.

+1! There is so much more to life than bass.
Wait, did I just say that?

Having a separate fretless forum, to follow the example, does not help this. My suggestion was to merge all bass-related forums. I don't see why '83 and '85 4003 owners should go to different forums. The guy who had the '73 question, I'd like to see his post.

Gott in Himmel!! I tried "hanging out at another Bass forum since it did seem i was spending a lot of time here and maybe I was missing something. NOPE! I posted one topic and got "jumped" for my effort!

I like it better here. Too many RIC haters and haters in general at the other place.

I know those places you speak of. I stay away for the same reasons. The only forums that I frequent are this one and the RIC company forum.

I resemble that remark!
....and although I'm a member on those "other" forums, I usually just lurk there , staying in the
Shadows....

In one of those places, I'll occasionally lurk the bass amp section. There are a few guys (and I do mean few) there that seem to know what they saying about bass amps.

That other place (and I do not mean The Others) is pretty comical at times, and many times pretty dreaful, unfortunately.
For those more inclined to the recording arts there is a great forum, which of course I can't link to, called Gearslutz.com.
