So, will my 360 be a 360R or a 360RR?
Anyone know how they'll be coded?

It used to be RBY for Ruby on the literature.

It is very hard to beat the Ruby finish. I love it.

Nice, now I'll be able to get that RR 330 back that I traded in '91! It's hard to tell from the pics but it looks like it might be a little darker than the original, either way it looks great!

That's a tough call, as the original Ruby varied from guitar to guitar (or at least day to day) as it was a four stage (primer, metallic silver base coat, transparent cool red color coat, clear varnish coat) finish. Depending upon how much of the transparent cool red color coat was sprayed, how it was reduced, and the number of coats used over the silver, original Ruby varied from a light raspberry to a deep wine color.
The new Ruby is a single opaque pearlescent red sprayed over sealer, with a clear UV-cured polyester varnish applied over it. Because of advancements in pigments and paint formulas since the early '90s, this new color actually has more depth. As far as the shade of red being deeper than the old Ruby, it is about the same as the deepest variations I've seen. That's good, because IMO, light raspberry would be less popular.

I think it will be RBY now also.

Jerry, I'll be adding photos to FB tomorrow or Wednesday. If you put your pics into Photobucket, you can resize them with the Photobucket interface. Then each picture is large when your post is seen and not taking up forum bandwidth and server space.

Thanks, Joey. But mine are rather blurry. I refer all to yours, which are most excellent!

Is the new RIC ruby formula similar to your custom concoction Paul?

I would buy one!
Kenny Howes, Gary Clauson, and I were drooling over this possibility at NAMM. I think Joey was as well, and he's primarily a bassist! The RIC folks were rather noncommittal about the idea, however. . . .
