I had a real JMI AC4 exactly like Gary's. Should have kept it, but needed loot for something else. At least I did some recording with it.

The blue looks good, and while it's historically correct for a very brief period, I like the diamond grille better.

Maybe I can pick up a roll of the blue tolex and save it for a rainy day...after I do my orange and green ones. :)

I like this picture and it is the reason why I bought this AC4.
I have a blue strap, blue picks, blue capo, blue coil cable, blue guitar...I really had to get a blue amp.

I take it you play the blues?

Come on, everyone knows you can't play blues on a Rickenbacker. :)
I play RED hot rock and roll on my blue gear.

I must not have received that message. I've played the blues with both my 1997 and former 360. But then again I've played country with both of them too.

Oh dear... didn't you know that playing something else than jangle rock voids warranty? You're not supposed to use the instrument for things it's not suited for

I guess that I'm not the only one with a voided warranty. :D :D :D

Back on track to the AC4C1-BL, I tried a couple of them out yesterday afternoon. I liked everything execpt the speaker. If I bought one, I'd have to swap it out for an Alnico one. Choices among 10 inch Alnico speakers are basically limited to a Weber Blue Pup, an Eminence Red Fang, or even a Celestion Gold. All cost about 1/3 to 1/2 of the amp's cost.

I am Thinking about a greenback.
The stock speaker is very dry and rough, the lack of bass is caused in the closed back and small box design, but combined with a 12" open back cab IT HAS GOT BASS!

Here a few lines about first impressions:
