Interesting, one -0- feedback bidder bid 7 times from $2500 to $3700, which I assume was when the reserve was hit. No other bidders - yet?

Even being a one-owner and nice shape, IMO that's pretty pricey for a '77 Walnut 4001.
I agree. Even in that condition that is way too steep. It will be interesting of it sells.

That said, it is such a beautiful instrument. The burst is perfect, the coloring just right, and the maple is exceptional for no flame or birdseye. A beautiful Rick indeed!

ilan wrote:"Walnut" looks best IMHO with black or pinstripe binding and black pickguard. Like a 4002. Here is a gorgeous one that was on eBay:

AUTUMNGLO! I'm showing my age (and possibly a feable memory), but I'm thinking that the guy from Atlanta Rhythm Section played one of those. I know he played a 4001, but I'm PRETTY sure it was autumnglo. Lovely! :D

That AutumnGlo with the black binding and guard is officially my new favorite 4003 color scheme...

I've only seen him (Paul Goddard) with Mapleglo.
