Go for it ! :D
You're always better off with a double-bound Rick, especially Jetglo; double bounds sound better; it's the extra binding, and the super cool shape! :D

Hey now, that's not a shot at him, I had no idea he was Rick-less....which is surprising with 1700+ posts on the subject. Take from that whatever ya want.

Back on track.... yep, selling a stock 370/12 to get a 360/12C63 JG is easy cheesy. I seem to remember when they discontinued a few models a few years ago, even though 370's were on the list, there was a footnote saying they'd keep doing certain models with "historic significance" or something to that effect. Naturally, Byrd-y 370/12's are still getting cranked out. They even have 3 extra frets! Now that's value!!!

Better be at the store early tomorrow Stefan - I heard they've had lots of interest in this guitar and its first come, first served!

Yeah, I heard that, too. I tried the other day, but fella wouldn't budge. I've had to make contingency plans, so I found another one in FG. Not quite what I'd hoped, but as I can't get away from the office tomorrow 'til 4:30, I'm pretty much outta luck with the JG.

Funny, but I'm still not sure about passing along the first Ric. She's so beautifully polished now and her action's out of this world.

I think that's where I am with this. The 370/12 is a keeper.

Thanks, all, for your input. It's been interesting.

I saved up 2-3 paychecks' worth of $ to make the initial deposit on the first Rick I ordered (age 18), then went back every payday for the next 4 months or so to make payment on the guitar. It actually arrived 2-3 months early (special order) so I had to cough up the balance sooner than I had planned, but I don't think you'd have that problem these days, Ivan! Happy savings!! :D
