Congrats Scotty. I reckon it suits you. That's a very funny video too. I laughed my face off in parts. The profanity bits make it unacceptable for this forum unfortunately, but it does not take away from your great sense of humour or your skill on that little short scale guitar.

Yeah, loved the video! I remember when my 320 arrived, I was amazed at how tiny it was.
Cases come up every now and again on ebay. Maybe a modified strat case if you can't get the original.

My latest buy arrives Tuesday, a 1997 built 330, also in jetglo. It'll be my 5th 330 in 3 years!! That makes it 9 Ricks in 7 years!

I was paranoid that maybe it wouldn't with the hi-gains and all, but I'm very pleased with them.

Ha ... I'm perfectly capable of reining it in but I guess the excitement got to me. I'll have to keep it in mind if I ever do any more unboxings

It came with ones that feel very slinky, possibly 9's or 10's. Might get a couple of sets of higher gauges and see what feels best. I would like to strike a balance between that chunky high-strung sound, and still being able to do the odd bend here and there.

I'm already wondering if I'll ever buy another one ... !

Your video killed me in two ways.
1. it was entertaining and funny,
2. I just bought a Rickenbacker 330 two months ago. That was to be my last guitar. I always wanted a Ric 325 but due to the Lennon connection they were just too far expensive for me to consider. (That guitar costs more than my White Falcon!) But now I see another option - that 320. I never knew they existed. Your video showed me they can do what the 325 does. I have a feeling I will be owning a 320. I'm going to patient on this -- right price, right guitar -- but you just made me craving another guitar. That kills me.

Indeed! I mentioned that in my video (and probably came across far more malicious than I intended to). In the end I couldn't wait around forever for someone to sell one for what I was willing to pay.

fyi, .012 strings on your short scale would be best to match the tension of .010's on a full scale. Putting .010's on a short scale will be pretty slinky, possibly difficult to tune or intonate, and you'll probably want a wound G. Maybe try .011's with a wound 3rd for a "light" feel?

Gonna try 11's first and then 12's if that isn't enough. Will be aiming to strike some sort of balance between more tension and some kind of slinkiness.

As much as I love Bigsby's (I have one on my Goldtop) I'll probably hold off for now. Any feedback on what kind of vibrato to go with would be appreciated - I'm not concerned about things like resale value or irreversible damage to the guitar (this level of modification is something I can handle myself) but I'm more worried about the actual physical matchup between a B5 and a 320 body. Are bog standard B5's what was used on the v59, and would one fit here? Or would some change-up be in order?

I'd also consider an Accent if anyone thinks it's a good idea!
