Great video, Thomas!
Very nice to see the guitar rescued like that, with it's original finish saved (which is a big part of its unique history).

Re: Symfonia Grand 420
Thank you very much. It makes me happy to give something back to the people at the forum.
The hardest job on the restauration was to polish the overspray off. This is a time consuming work that can only be made very carefully by hand, because of the thin layers of original laquer that are always in danger if polishes too hard.
I realy like to see old guitars restaured in a way that can show the history of the guitar brand.
It makes me sad to see people like "gibson dependable" on the web doing the oposit ,destroying even real vintage guitasr into some parts.

Thanks for the video, Thomas - very cool to see and hear such a rare item! Good job on getting the paint off, I would never have had such patience!

Dear RFF,
I see one pickup and a toggle in the down position. I'm confused.

Probably like the 900's and 1000's, a kind of tone circuit, like a mud switch or bass boost.

Yep, 425's have a switch too. One position is really bright, the other less-so.jdogric12 wrote:Probably like the 900's and 1000's, a kind of tone circuit, like a mud switch or bass boost.
