Great video, Thomas!

Very nice to see the guitar rescued like that, with it's original finish saved (which is a big part of its unique history).

Thank you very much. It makes me happy to give something back to the people at the forum.

The hardest job on the restauration was to polish the overspray off. This is a time consuming work that can only be made very carefully by hand, because of the thin layers of original laquer that are always in danger if polishes too hard.
I realy like to see old guitars restaured in a way that can show the history of the guitar brand.

It makes me sad to see people like "gibson dependable" on the web doing the oposit ,destroying even real vintage guitasr into some parts.

Some things need remain a mystery

Probably like the 900's and 1000's, a kind of tone circuit, like a mud switch or bass boost.

Yep, 425's have a switch too. One position is really bright, the other less-so.

I just saw that Manabu, in Japan, owns one as well. ts on his FB page, Vintage Rickenbacker Guitars. Its been refinned RED but looks cool anyway. Serial number is BD 41.
