Jim, you managed to make those stock pickups sound like Filter'trons. How??? 8)

Beats me. Like I said, I had the pickup selector switch in the middle position, and just fooled around with all the knobs at my disposal, both amp & guitar till I got the sound I liked. Might be the amp, might be the mic, might be I just got lucky. Might be all three.
