Definitely keep us posted. That's a great looking color combo -- making me want one of my own. My wife would probably murder me if I brought home another 620, though. "But honey, this one's a different color!"

Will do Kevin! Burgundy is a relatively rare colour for a 620. This guitar is from the 2002 COY run. There are 2 other BG 620s from the 70's in the register...

I can relate - I also want a BLUE BOY 620 at some point!

Well the guitar is assembled now and plays very well! The BT on Burgundy is cool, much like that 325 RIC one off... I strung it up with RIC strings 10-42.

I just need to get a local guitar shop to solder the pickups into the wiring harness., That and to get the heel strap button drilled. and it is done.

Still missing one nut for the harness to join the jackplate... The mono side is done, but I need the nut for the Rick o Sound input

If I went to the hardware store... what size nut would I ask for?

It is a hard colour to photograph...

If you use a flash it looks like RUBY! Too little light and it looks like RED...

If you get it just right you get the wine coloured Burgundy that it actually is...

Adding the black "R" tailpice with the black TRC and pickguard really set this off nicely.

Well at last it is done...

Thanks to Craig Witty who sold me an accent vibrato last week, I finally assembled everything needed to finish off the 2002 BG 620 project.

Other then the fact that it has the wiring harness from a mid 80s 360, it is now exactly as it was when it left the factory in Santa Anna.

Everything is wired up now and it sounds great!

Me too! In fact it has become one of my all time favorite finishes.

My original impulse with this guitar was just to save it after the NJ Butcher got it...

It has taken 9 months, but it is now officially rescued!
