I just thought it was a fluke. For decades I put off getting a P bass because I hadn't found the neck I liked. But I finally found it in this cheap, beat up Mexican one. It had horrible action and the neck wasn't straight but it responded to patient tweaking and now it plays like a dream.

It came out of the box with one string out of tune. The setup on it was perfect out of the box. I'm very happy with this purchase!
