It wasn't him on the original...it was the MG's original bassist Lewie Steinberg. Dunn joined after Steinberg quit the band in 1965. He played on most of their other essential recordings like "Hip-Hug-Her," "Time is Tight," and many others. The best primer for their work is the Stax Profiles disc which has a blistering live version of "Green Onions" with Dunn.
