McCartney 70 today

I was on business travel recently, and came across two special Beatles issues at the Minneapolis/St. Paul airport. I was flying back home from Montreal just after those nasty storms that caused flooding went through.

The first was from USA Today and should be on sale through July 9. It is mainly pictures and in newspaper format. It celebrates the 50th anniversary of the Beatles.

The more interesting find was a Time, Inc. special issue on Paul McCartney ("The Legend Rocks on at 70'). There are many images I hadn't seen before and it was interesting reading. I'm actually not quite done with it yet. It was written by James Kaplan. Oddly, not one picture of the 4001S is to be seen in this one. This one is supposed to be sold through September 7.
