IIRC, the Fender Blues Deluxe is supposed to be like a '57 Tweed Deluxe but with modern (90s) appointments and more versatility.

Good luck with the guitar and amp hunt. There are lots of good suggestions, but don't rule out the Fender Deluxe Reverb either. It's extremely versatile, sounds great with any style of music and gets good breakup when turned up. Best of all, it's small enough for home use, based on my own experiences. I'd love an AC-30, a Super Reverb or a vintage piggyback Fender, but any of those are heavy and too loud and powerful for home use. Next amp I get will probably be a Princeton Reverb.

JakeK at one time I had a reissue Fender Twin Reverb and my friend had a 330
Rickenbacker and I played it thru my amp. What a great sound a 330 and a
Twin Reverb.

Ellen I keep reading these post and I think wow I have to get a Rickenbacker
and my very first one was a 1988 360 now there is a local music store
that has a used 360 from 1987 at a good price. I would consider that guitar
and it's a Fireglo same as my first one. I think back to all the different guitars
that I've had and I seem to always go back to a Rickenbacker
