Yea....He often says that the Roland JC 120 spoiled the sound on the first album which i disagree with. A lot of people don't rate the sound/production on that first album including Johnny himself but i must be missing something because i think it's brilliant. There's something dreamy/ethereal about that album, similar to R.E.M's Murmur. Would love to be able to afford a JC 120 which Roger Mcguinn claims is the ultimate amp for any Ric.
Anyway, I'm glad I listened to you and a couple of others in buying the Ce-2!! It sounds fantastic
better than I had hoped....IMO it does exactly what a chorus pedal should...it adds and 'thickens' the sound without sounding 'false' which most chorus pedals do. It also adds to my Janglebox (old JB) as well, in that it definitely takes the 'edge' off the sound. I've got the JB on the bright setting and the Ce-2 takes the harshness away so that combined it is a real 'Jangle' sound as opposed to a ear-splitting treble noise!
