That's a great deal for a silver screw. You won't be sorry, it's a lot of money but it's one of the all time classic Boss pedals.

And pairs perfectly with a Ric 8) :

Thanks Tom............What a fantastic Smiths concert that was especially when you consider that Johhny Marr was only 20yrs old and playing in front of a foreign and live T.V audience. He is so confident and his playing is spot on. I have listened to this quite a few times through my headphones and he doesn't play a wrong note throughout the whole concert...Brilliant.

Thanks David! I agree, it was an awesome show by any measure. You can see the CE-2 sitting on top of his amp, it was always on. Interesting that he used it instead of the JC-120's chorus.

Johnny said a lot of negative things about the JC amps, but he used one at almost every single show besides the handful of early shows where he only had a twin reverb.

Yea....He often says that the Roland JC 120 spoiled the sound on the first album which i disagree with. A lot of people don't rate the sound/production on that first album including Johnny himself but i must be missing something because i think it's brilliant. There's something dreamy/ethereal about that album, similar to R.E.M's Murmur. Would love to be able to afford a JC 120 which Roger Mcguinn claims is the ultimate amp for any Ric.
Anyway, I'm glad I listened to you and a couple of others in buying the Ce-2!! It sounds fantastic :D better than I had hoped....IMO it does exactly what a chorus pedal should...it adds and 'thickens' the sound without sounding 'false' which most chorus pedals do. It also adds to my Janglebox (old JB) as well, in that it definitely takes the 'edge' off the sound. I've got the JB on the bright setting and the Ce-2 takes the harshness away so that combined it is a real 'Jangle' sound as opposed to a ear-splitting treble noise! :D
