I'd love to get Brian's Lemmy, but even a realistic price would be too much for me.

Absolutely!
Re: Couldn't pass it up
Any black plate Rick bass gets my vote, we have had white TRC covers only now since 1998 ish, so any genuine black TRC has to be a collectors eye.

Re: Couldn't pass it up
Bass arrived today. Looks good! Definitely will need a new treble-pickup surround and cover, and mounting screws for it and the pickguard. Electronics work fine, really thin neck, reverse Kluson tuners. Overall finish needs a cleanup, but no scratches or nicks down to wood. Deep dark brown color is luscious. Pix after I fix 'er up.

Re: Couldn't pass it up
Here are a couple of shots after I put on a new treble (bridge) pickup cover and surround, and new screws. The overall Walnut finish looks quite rich in the sunlight, but very dark in dim light. Kinda like what happens to Dark Cherry Metallic and the darker Burgundy shades. It's a 1975 in factory finish. Great shape, considering:

I usually don't like black plastic, but it really brings the bass to life on this one!bassduke49 wrote:Here are a couple of shots after I put on a new treble (bridge) pickup cover and surround, and new screws.
