Good thing I didn't read this earlier. I'd have spewed my coffee all over the keyboard laughing so hard.

Indeed.

Should I go on record, or wait until John has a chance to see the thread?

This is a great thread. I keep picturing a young Eric Idle interviewing a young John Cleese; Eric relentlessly pushing for an honest admission and Mr. Cleese dodging and denying, trying to change the subject. Vintage Python. Tom

Cleese: "Well, we DO make the double truss rods out of old ski poles, but"...........
It's a Byrd, it's a playin'..........

Ski lodges? This will undoubtedly upset the guy at a music store I stop in to time to time that continues to insist that all tops on Ric guitars are made fiberglass and not wood. I can't wait to spring this on him!

Hey wait! They didn't make any ski lodges out of fiberglass did they???
Expect nothing and you'll never be disappointed (and I mean that in an optimistic way).

Could there possibly be enough ski lodges for sale for John Hall to buy enough wood to make all of the Ricks from the "mid 90's until now"?!?

Last night I wrote a song about it:
"Where Have All The Lodges Gone?"

Actually it sounds a bit too much dylanesque to me. - Hmm, I have to work it out a bit more...

Jared, thanks for your first post and welcome. We needed a good lift. :)

Woops - forgot to say welcome to Jared!

Welcome Jared! :D

Peter, I hope he doesn't mind our threads steadily going downhill?

Come to think of it, my 92 4003 did sound pretty special...

I need a European ski vacation this winter. Any chance I can stay at one of those ski lodges before it's dismantled?
