No joke: Plug and play! Just a few minutes for an exchange and a big improvement.

Please be careful with the Kauffman. It has the habit of scratching the guitars surface, even when You use it carefully. It is possible that there are already scratches from putting the guitar into the case and closing the case. Some people say every C58 had a few scratches when it left the factory. I can not confirm nor deny.

BTW: The trapeze covers this area of scratches - a Bigsby B5, too.

I really appreciate it. I've ordered the tailpiece.
So, the guitar will arrive in a few days. It's a 2009 model owned by a Beatle fan who bought it new, but doesn't know how to play guitar. It's all original and has been sitting in its case pretty much since purchase.
Hopefully there are very few scratches caused by the Kauffman.
I'll change to the trapeze as soon as it arrives.

Never say never I guess, but changing to the Bigsby B5 doesn't interest me that much. As far as I can tell its a permanent mod with drilling required and I'm not really a big fan of Bigsby's.

I love the look of the trapeze so that's a no brainer

At first: strings can be a religion.

Well, a lot of folks here - so me, too - swear by Thomastik Infeld flatwounds.

They deliver a full and nice vintage sound, they last long, the feeling is good and the tension is quite low in comparison to other flats.

The minimum gauge for the 325 is 012. If You search the forum You will find a lot of problems with 325s that disappeared by using higher gauges. IIRC it was about tuning issues, sound and sustain.
So the JS 112 or the JS113 is the right set if You want to give the TIs a try.

My long scale 330/6 sports the JS111 (011) - very nice sound and great playability. Especially with toasters a must have for me.

Do not be surprised when You have to adjust the neck. That is quite normal. And it is quite easy - It is a Rickenbacker...

OKAY so the day for me is finally here!!!
I received my 325C58 a couple of hours ago, I'm finally home from work and have been checking it out.
I'm over the moon with it, it's in beautiful condition and sounds amazing!
The new tailpiece is on its way, so I'll change it once it shows up.
Anyway, I thought I'd share a few pics with you guys.

Yep! I was quite shocked at just how light it feels!
I mean... I knew it was light, but it still surprised me

They're not very easy to find, I've been looking in OZ for ages and just happened to find one. I bought it immediately after I found it online. Gotta say, I love it. Couldn't be happier
