I had a '03 360/12 that had a really fat neck and incredibly tight spacing, and despite only being 16 at the time, I didn't like it and sold it to a friend to get a '91 Tom Petty signature model. Immediately I took the the wider neck and loved that guitar. In 2009, financial reasons forced me to sell it so later that year, my mom bought me an '87 360/12V64 for graduation. That guitar had a neck that wasn't too narrow (03 standard 360) or too wide (660). And yes, I still have it. I like the advantages the 660 neck offers for playing certain chords, but like Collin, my hands aren't that large (I have met women with hands as large as mine or larger ), so I can live with the standard neck. A saying I have is "If the tone can't be beaten, the neck doesn't matter."

360/12C63 models from '08 and later have wider string spacing.

I think many people would be surprised at how easily they could get used to a standard Rick neck if it had the proper string spacing. Many Ricks over the past few decades have really inconsistent string spacing on 12-strings, often not utilizing all the available fretboard width. They are getting much better the past few years, that's for sure..

It would be absolutely wonderful if a 12-string would be made for mass production with a 660 neck on a 360 body. Having had a 660/12, the extra-wide neck feels like it should be on a bigger-bodied guitar. I know that some prototypes have been made, and I'd love to try one - I'd bet that it's awesome.

I have several of them. Not sure prototypes is the right way to describe them...

Regardless they play great and it's nice to have the extra room. With that said, I think the standard neck is fine also...
