You mean you guys get money back??

..... for the moment....for the moment... only because I purposely have them take out the max because I like to have a check to buy toys with every Feb (my birthday month). I know that is not a very smart way of using my money but it is just fun to know I can get a bass or something...kinda like my version of a Christmas club.

Or you could just save it and get the interest on it yourself.......

Yet another thought.....why wait? Sell one of your current 4003s if you find a vintage 4001 at a good price....then replace the 4003 when the tax money comes in?

Oh that will never happen my friend. I love the three that I have now. They all have a perfect place in my stable and I love the way they play and feel. It is a good idea but I have regretted selling the three Rics I used to own that I just do not think I could even contemplate handing one of these instruments to another human being. I do have lots of other stuff to sell though.....hmmmm

I'd also vote for the 4004. Specifically, I'd get a 4004L in ruby. The new neck, combined with the HB1's and that bichin' new color make it next up on my list for sure. I'm not too surprised your wife is allowing you to buy another Rick bass, but that after having three of the same thing, she'd let you buy another.

OK, decision has been made and did not even have to wait till tax return came.....and got the one I thought would be the most difficult to score.....

Congrats, Scott! 8) Do you play fretless? Here is a really nice, simple song to work through, from one of my all-time rhythm sections. :D

This one may take a bit of work, but he is always so musical in his playing.

Jeffrey, thanks.... I dig Mark's playing. Yes I am a fretless player. I was a string bass major in college and haved played upright as well as fretless for some time. I am not a fretless only kinda guy but I love guys like Brad Houser who make it work in a full time band gig.

Here is one of my big fretless basses I let get away..... as well as my waist line....lol

How old was your Baby Bass? I used to have a NS CR4M a few years ago, bought it from a forumite. 8)
