No offense to Gibson, but I personally don't like it very much.
It looks to much like that typical off brand bass.

It seems like design team at Gibson just pulls random ideas out of a hat and then just toss up their hands and say, "That'l work" lets go to lunch!

My thoughts exactly Werner - combining the look of two iconic instruments and coming up with something not quite as good as either....
Ditto that!

Of course, that could have been their plan all along, or perhaps they created this bass so that us folks on the RRF would have something to debate!

Henry personally approves every design, actually...

Anyway, how many people who say they do not like it actually tried it, played it? Well?

The local stores need to have it in stock on the wall for us to try it.

The third is the venerable reverse t bird, but even that design, while quite possibly being the coolest looking rock and roll bass ever,is not so great for feel and ergonomics....
This one is just another kind of OK looking bass at boutique pricing....
Even better would be if they reissued the 60's epiphone EMBASSY,WHICH WAS THE BEST TBIRD OF THEM ALL.
Gibson has reissued the Non-Reverse T-Bird, definately would like to check it out!!

No surprises there...Henry must be a gold-plated-dolphin-faucet kinda guy.

Between this thing and the FBX, my eyes hurt.

While you were at GC, did you see this Halloween Special?

It's approved by Henry and is a preview of their latest design:
