If anybody has that sticky cellophane stuff for the pickguard of my P-Basses, please PM me. The less balled-up the better. Hangtags would also be a plus.
On second thought, maybe I'll just leave them in the cases.

I live in Canada. I peeled mine off and stuck in on the back side of the headstock and never gave it another thought.
What bugs me, and I'm showing my age, is when kids stick a bunch of other stickers all over their instruments.
I don't have a problem with stickers on a hard shell case.

I took my off and attached it to the bag of case candy so that if I sell it and the new owner wants to put it back on he will have the option.
I also leave the pickguard plastic on my other brand (shudder) basses that I own until they start getting ratty and then I pull them off.
No biggie but I think it preserves the pickguard for an extra 6 months to a year depending on how often the bass gets gigged out.

Some guitars (anything with a hockeystick headstock) look pretty cool with random stickers.
Ricks are too good looking to begin with to need more.

Stickers? I haven't bought a new guitar since 1986 (4003S) and can't remember a sticker even being on it..

What Kevin said, plus go back about another 8 years...... My last "new" instruments were BC Rich, and Vielllette-Citron....and a mid 70's Fender Jazz just like CS's...
When i bought my used '74 4000, there was a sticker on the back of the headstock,(music store),which i immediately pulled off. The little white square where it was is still visible in the form of being less yellowed than the rest of the bass.
