Inasmuch as I don't want to speak ill of the dead, he seemed (on occasion) to be a tiny bit of a blowhard to me. I guess the more polite expression would be 'opinionated' - but he always seemed to know quite a lot for a guy who didn't make it as high as the people he was often interviewed to talk about.

(Maybe I'm just taking his comments about the 325 too personally, ha).

Still, shame that he's dead.
