Honestly. . . I dunno! It's a late 2012. A couple of things to keep in mind:

1) I did tweak the photo in photoshop . . . hopefully not too drastically.
2) I am colorblind. So, if it's not maple but a darker wood, I generally am not too picky. If I get a chance this weekend (and the weather cooperates) I will try to get some natural-light photos and we can figure it out.

It's the photo - the actual fretboard is much lighter. I was working with ****** interior lighting, and I probably made the fretboard look a bit darker when I was messing with the curves adjustment in photoshop.

I just looked again and it's probably bubinga. It looks the same (minus the gloss) as my late 2011/early 2012 360.
