Not sure if they still do, but for many years all Fender American Vintage Reissue instruments came with these cables.

L & K Manufacturing- that was the name of the outfit that made these. I can't imagine they're around anymore.

As I said, they were a bit temperamental to get working, requiring a certain learned touch but then they kept working quite well. I think the rise of slinky carbonized linen cable pretty well did these in but they might work okay with the newer rubber and polyethylene cables, such as those offered by Mogami.

One of these covered with heat-shrink might be pretty cool.

I found it very simple to make each cable. Just cleanly cut each cable end with a sharp knife (similar to George L cable), insert each cable in the end of each jack, and tighten each set screw until not quite flush with knurled section. Worked the first time for me. I actually really like the heavily knurled jacks, they are very easy to insert/remove from the guitar.

What type of cable did you use?

This is a NOS cable that was in the case of my '66 Rick 12. I used the original Belden cable that came with it. The cable wasn't working so I trimmed each end and now it works.
