Thanks. I thought these photos gave a good comparison since both guitars are under the same lighting conditions being in the same photo. I would also say that the pics are close to actual shading of the guitars.
I remember that day too...hmm, there may have been some burgers involved.

Here's a better shot. You can see the darker edge on top of the regular FG.
I have my doubts that 50% of people would like this one better. To me, a good Fireglo is two tone with a blood red on the outside. This is more like a three tone.

The two from 1987 have the darkest edges.

I call it Pinkglo and I don't like 'em. It seems that all the newer fireglo RICs have it. Whenever I see one in a music store I can immediately tell it's a new guitar by the pinksh finish
