Looks like George is playing his rosewood tele, but the resolution is pretty bad so I could be wrong.

FG absolutely, Paul mucked up the bass when he painted it and took the finish off.

Hmm, wonder why it wouldn't show the photos above. Anyway, what a treat to see all the Beatles' gear. The bottom photo looks like the Shea Stadium-era instrument lineup.

Because they are referencing photos of my bass, not Paul's. I painted the upper horn on my bass teal 15+ years ago, just to be a bit different(and I didn't have any silver paint around), and there are a LOT more clear pics of my bass on the internet than there are of Paul's. Those Chinese knock-offs are clearly copying my bass.

From a Beatles standpoint, there are more photo's of the bass in its MMT variation than in FG or MG that I can see.

Agree 100%. The MG variation probably has more exposure from Paul's post-Beatles career. The original FG finish was probably around for longer than the MMT variation but is nowhere near as well documented.

The FG was from 64-66. The MMT was from 67-69. So they were pretty close in duration.
